Jewelry Fair 2010 – a fantasy-journey ! | Sawa Gothly ... A Virtual Life

Jewelry Fair opens the doors tomorrow – bloggers like me had the possibility to take a look in advance and I’m really overwhelmed ! The sims are so beautiful and lovingly designed, it’s a blissfulness to walk over the sims and look at the decorations and landscaping ! This year’s theme is Beauty and the Beast, with all you associate with this theme – lovely.

The fair covers 4 sims, and runs from October 8th till 17th.

The locations:

*The Forest: a winding path through trees and foliage, with gypsy wagons, tinkers‘ carts, cabins and straw huts featuring fantasy, ethereal and eclectic style jewelry.

*Beautiful Castle: a majestic castle and grounds with formal, fancy and traditional jewelry.

*People’s Village: charming, old-world Bavarian style shops around a town square featuring casual style jewelry.

*Beast’s Castle: a vast, dark castle and grounds with gothic, occult and BDSM type jewelry.

Benefiting a Good Cause! The Jewelers of SL picked Oxfam International again this year as the charity to benefit from various Fair proceeds, such as 100% of the proceeds from vendor entry fees, one-of-a-kind auctions, paid sponsors, and events. Many jewelers are putting up special vendors to share 50% of those proceeds. Oxfam is a confederation of organizations working together with partners and allies around the world to bring about lasting change to help people in poverty improve their lives. (www.oxfam.org)

There are a lot of new and awesome items at the sims, I grab two of them to show you a little teaser of my fav’s. Further teasers will follow the next days but those are such beautiful items – I have to show you ;o)

First is the „Rigoletto“ series from U&R Dogs, I like the jewelry of U&R a lot because of the variety they design their jewelry. „Rigoletto“ is a very filigree jewelry with pearl and gold elements (also available in silver).

Do you remember the hype of the jewelry-poses from LaGyo ? Lady Gaga was omnipresent at this time and everybody blogged this pose. So … ((Crystal Line)) created a very beautiful jewelry-pose, the „Snow pearl photo accessory set“, it’s a very elegant pose and an allround-talent, doesn’t matter if you want to make some pics with winter-landscape or a high-elegant shot from your latest gown. I’m sure we’ll see this pose often in future posts !
